What’s going on at the Green Jeans Homestead

Busy lots of busy.  Amazingly I have actually cooked some.  I have learned the beauty of patience…..or if I am being honest a tad of laziness on my part leads to this:

I wish I had measured the carrot but to make a rather large pot of beef stew I only needed two of them.  Oh and that amazing red pepper is what happens when you don’t have time to pick the peppers.  I put that red beauty with a few others in this:

I sadly forgot a finished shot of the chili I made but let’s just say it also involved fresh red tomatoes from the garden as well and a all that was left was a single bowl and that was reheated and eaten before the night was out.  My camera time was lacking and there is no shot of the homemade cornbread that accompanied this lovely chili.

I have managed to can 7 jars of sauce, now don’t laugh, it is better than none, right?
Our newest addition, is he not the cutest?  My daughter named him Michealangelo.
