Love the change

This school year is the start of  change for me, well actually I have been attempting change for the last month or so.  I cleaned out the online bookshop.  Samantha helped me purge over 4000 books and now we are down to under 2000 in inventory.  It is very liberating and freeing.  I cleaned out our school room and kept only what the kids were interested in.  Dave has transformed the yard (updated photo below as promised).  I
joined a new home-school group and even ventured out to a park day to meet a group of the moms from the group.  Feeling very proud for stepping out and setting an example for my children to get out and mingle with new people and expand your horizon even more.  I am excited to get to know these wonderful ladies in the coming months.  Got a big load of children’s books and other goodies dropped off at the consignment shop and almost finished planning our trip to Niagara and various other spots in October (more to come on this later)

Here is the fire pit area with the new sod, hard to tell but the clue is you don’t see the lovely red clay soil we have.

So this little planter is a clue to the kind of gardener I am.  Some what forgetful and then somewhat lucky.  I bought these strawberries earlier in the summer, then the birds ate the berries and I was bummed and then I just didn’t water them.  With all the rain we have had lately they grew again and even have small berries on them, too funny.
